Ghana Journal of Forestry

The Ghana Journal of Forestry (GJF), a peer reviewed Journal (ISSN 0855-1707) is published by CSIR-Forestry Research Institute of Ghana. Since its inception in 1994, over 50 articles in 31 volumes have been published almost annually. The Journal publishes scientific articles concerned with forest management and conservation, and in particular the application of biological, ecological and social knowledge to the management of forests. The scope of the Journal includes the global forest ecosystem; and the Journal’s audience is research workers, managers and policy makers in forestry, natural resources, ecological conservation and related fields. The Ghana Journal of Forestry seeks to encourage communication between scientists in disparate fields which share a common interest in ecology and natural resources management, and to bridge the gap between research workers and forest managers to the benefit of both. The Journal is indexed by the Centre for Agriculture and Biosciences International (CABI) and can be accessed online from this website: http://www.ajol.info.

The Journal has an Editorial Advisory Board which develops policies and guidelines; and the Editorial Committee which ensures strict editorial procedures are adhered to. Editorial Committee members include:
