Emmanuel Sarpong is an Assistant Librarian at the CSIR-Forestry Research Institute of Ghana (CSIR-FORIG). He holds an MPhil in Publishing Studies from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), a Bachelor of Arts degree, and a Diploma in Librarianship from the University of Ghana.
As an information professional, he supports research, knowledge management, information access, and scholarly communication within the Institute. His professional interests include open science, academic publishing, research communication, knowledge dissemination, and information management.
His MPhil research explored the knowledge and practices of Open Science among scientists in selected CSIR institutes in Ghana, reflecting his commitment to enhancing the accessibility, visibility, and impact of scientific research.
Emmanuel serves as the Managing Editor of the CSIR-FORIG Newsletter, where he coordinates the development and dissemination of institutional news, research highlights, and staff achievements. He also serves as Assistant Secretary of the Ghana Journal of Forestry, contributing to the administration and publication of one of Ghana's leading forestry research journals.
He is a Chartered Member of the Ghana Library Association (GLA) and a member of the Research Staff Association of CSIR-FORIG. Through his professional and editorial activities, he is committed to promoting effective research communication, scholarly publishing, and knowledge sharing in support of scientific advancement and sustainable development.
