Dr. Jerry Oppong Adutwum is a Research Scientist with the Wood Industry and Utilization Division at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research – Forestry Research Institute of Ghana (CSIR-FORIG). He is also a part time lecturer at the Department of Forest Resources Technology, Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He holds a PhD in Agriculture (Department of Agro-Environmental Sciences, Field: Wood Science) from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan.

Dr. Adutwum’s research interests span wood properties, understanding the biological basis of wood quality. He specializes in applying mathematical and statistical models to study patterns of wood formation in space and time. Currently, I am exploring using information theory framework to understand the complexities of wood and its environmental interactions.
